NO BONES ABOUT IT                                                           July 1, 2011

I hope you all had a great 4th of July and that you all remembered what the day is in remembrance of. I feel that this is one of the most important holidays of the year as it celebrates the independence of this country from the English. Although the actual date of the signing of the Declaration of Independence appears to be July the 4th this excerpt from ASK.com says that it was another date:

“Richard Lee proposed the Declaration of Independence to the Continental Congress on June 7, 1776. The Committee of Five (Roger Sherman, Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Robert Livingston and Thomas Jefferson) began work on June 11. Jefferson wrote the first draft and the other members of the committee suggested revisions and edits. They presented the completed document to the Continental Congress on June 28, and the Congress passed the resolution on July 2, 1776.

The Declaration of Independence wasn't signed on the 4th of July; the Continental Congress gathered to vote on whether the wording should be corrected or should stay the same. According to some historians, they hurried the process due to the fact that they were overrun by horseflies from the neighboring farm. The first signatures were added in August of 1776 and finished on Jan 18th 1777.”

I am just glad it was signed and that the men in charge of the country back then decided to allow the freedom we have today.

I do however think that our founding fathers are turning over in their graves with the way the government has been dishonored in the last 100 years. I don’t believe that they had any intention of becoming babysitters for you and me nor do I believe that it was their intention to take you from cradle to grave protecting you at every turn the way the government is attempting to do. I believe that kids should be able to ride bicycles without having to put on a helmet and be able to play on swings that are on regular dirt and not foam rubber. Skinned knees and elbows were the child’s way of learning how not to do something. Are all these nanny laws the government’s way of training you to not be a responsible thinking adult? You are less of a threat when you don’t think or question.
You all know the story because in one way or another you have been affected by these government mandates. I still believe that if you don’t like to have smoke in the bar, going to another bar or moving away from the smoke is the only right you should have in that situation. I do not believe that because someone is of the opinion that firearms are dangerous and think guns kill people, they should be able to control the use and purchase of firearms for everyone. Can you imagine what would have happened in the Revolutionary War if the Colonists had no guns, but I guess they could have thrown rocks at the British?

We are known as free people in this country and we fight for that freedom each and every day. Some of us fight on foreign soil and some of us at home but we fight just the same. YOU are slowly losing your freedom one right at a time as the government becomes more and more powerful. YOU are becoming more like subjects than free men and women by allowing the people that you put in office to regulate and control your lives. My question to you is when are you going to say enough is enough and stand up for what you believe in? Is the fact that you are losing your freedom one piece at a time comforting to you? Will you allow the government officials to legislate you into being a subject to the tyranny that is coming? I know that I won’t!

In the words of Thomas Jefferson “When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty”, and I for one plan to do something about the injustice that I see every day that is being handed down by these so called elected officials. What can one man do? I plan to start getting people like you to realize what is happening to your freedom and get you to stop and think about the next time you cast your vote. I also plan to make people aware of the politicians that run this country, the way they vote and the position that they take on issues that are critical to you.
I plan to have career politicians like Senator Horsford, Assemblyman Oceguera Assemblyman Segerblom and Assemblyman Atkinson voted out of office by pointing out their total lack concern for the people that put them in office. I am also planning to make the people aware of the politicians that are truly concerned with your rights such as Senator Gustavson Senator Halseth, Senator Lee Assemblyman Ellison and Assemblyman Carrillo. I will support their bids for reelection when the time comes and know that they are not trying to destroy the freedom we have grown accustomed to in this country.

We have become too complacent in the election process by people telling you that your vote is only one and that it probably won’t make a difference anyway. Who in the hell ever started allowing the “lied by media” to decide who the best candidates are in any election? Just because the liberal media picks a candidate they think should win doesn’t mean it will happen. North Las Vegas held an election for one of the City Council positions and the vote ended in a tie (minus the one illegal vote). I will bet that somewhere in North Las Vegas there is one person that is saying “if I only would have voted the guy that I wanted in office would be there” and all it took was one vote.

You are the most important person in any election the INFORMED VOTER, because all it takes is one vote to make a difference. You decide who is doing the right thing in office and whether or not it is time for a new face or the old one. You are important to the political effort in this country and contrary to popular belief you can make a difference in many ways. When you discuss your political views with the people around you they will start to take interest in the issues, some agreeing and some not but at least they will take interest. Sharing your views and opinions may wake someone to issues that concern them and they were unaware of, they may see things your way or not but at least they will see.
We are in the process of compiling a list of politicians that are friendly to issues we are in support of by contacting them and getting their statements. We will write each Senator and Assemblyman and ask for their opinion on each one of these issues:

· Will you support the repeal of the Nevada Headgear Law (Helmet Law) NRS. 486.231?

· Will you support a bill that allows motorcycles to split lanes under certain conditions as law enforcement currently is allowed to do?

· Will you support or are you in favor of any bill which allows law enforcement to target motorcycles at motorcycle only check points?

· Are you in favor of the proposed repeal of the “blue card law” that requires guns to be registered only in Clark County?

· Do you support the second Amendment of the U.S Constitution concerning the right to bear arms?

This will determine the way I vote in the next election and which candidate I choose to represent me. Once we have all the responses I will publish them so you will be able to decide as well. Don’t just sit back and use some lame excuse for not voting, I need you to help get these people out of office and people that support us into office. That’s how it was done in Texas and Florida. When the riders in those states could not get the repeal of the helmet law, they voted the people against them out of office and put rider friendly politicians in their places. We are already off to a good start with people that are on our side. Don Gustavson, Elizabeth Halseth, John Lee, John Ellison and Richard Cirrillo are a few and we have more.
Don’t forget that we have the membership appreciation party coming up at the end of October and George D. needs some help. The party is only as good as you make it and George could use the help.
